Girli @ The Wardrobe, Monday 22nd April
A young London based artist Girli draws her inspiration from some of the most prominent and influential female pop artists, such as M.I.A, Lily Allen or Charli XCX. Girli worked on establishing her unique, futuristic sound for more than four year, but the wait was worth it – her debut album Odd One Out was released earlier this year while the artist embarked on a nationwide tour. Check her out this Monday at The Wardrobe! (TICKETS)
Josefin Öhrn & The Liberation @ Brudenell Social Club, Wednesday 24th April
Josefin Öhrn & The Liberation have been releasing mesmerising indie rock since their debut in 2014, without a doubt becoming one of most interesting Swedish acts in the past few years. Preceded by two excellent albums, Horse Dance (2015) and Mirage (2016), their third record Sacred Dreams is to be released later this month – perfect timing to come and see Josefin Öhrn & The Liberation play live. Grab your tickets for the Wednesday show at Brudenell now! (TICKETS)
Suede @ O2 Academy Leeds, Wednesday 24th April
For those of us not fortunate enough to snag tickets for the intimate launch gig for their new album The Blue Hour at the Brudenell Social Club last September, Suede are returning to Leeds on the latest leg of their current tour. A great week for fans of British indie of a certain age this week, with Idlewild returning to Leeds for their first tour in four years to mark the release earlier this month of their drifting, psychedelic eighth album Interview Music. Following in a proud lineage of heartfelt, literate and anthemic Scottish indie bands, their career is enjoying an Indian summer in the third decade of their existence. (TICKETS)
