Commercially successful yet perennially underrated in the context of Britpop, Oxford-based trio Supergrass announced last year that they would be reforming in 2020 to mark the 25th anniversary of their debut album, I Should Coco, touring the UK as well as releasing a new greatest hits and career-spanning box set. Following a brace of warmly received singles in 2019 – ‘Clearly A Crisis’ and ‘Fear My Society’ – New York City-based trio The Wants gear up for the release of their debut album later in March with a jaunt around the UK. York-based singer-songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich hasn’t perhaps pushed on in commercial terms since the UK Top Forty success of his 2011 debut Last Smoke Before The Snowstorm, but artistically his evolution has been gradual and impressive.
