Beach Riot @ Oporto, Sunday 24th November

With a host of excellent singles (‘She’s A Hurricane’, first and foremost) and one EP under their belts, the deliriously fun fuzz-pop of Beach Riot comes to the intimate Oporto venue on Call Lane on Sunday night – the perfect way to finish a weekend! (TICKETS)

PUP @ LUU Stylus, Monday 25th November

With their latest album Morbid Stuff, released back in the spring, PUP simultaneously managed to make their angriest and yet their most empathetic record yet, while still sticking to their pop-punk formula. They play at Leeds Uni on Monday night. (TICKETS)

Deliluh @ Brudenell Social Club, Tuesday 26th November

A product of Toronto’s DIY scene, Deliluh have a reputation for playing unusual venues, including band member Julius Pedersen’s flat-turned-venue, seen in recent documentary ‘Somewhere Else’. Touring their excellent album Day Catcher and current EP Oath Of Intent, they come to the Brudenell this week for a sold out show. Perhaps you know someone with a spare ticket – they’re not to be missed!

!!! @ The Wardrobe, Wednesday 27th November

Punk-funk veterans !!! – pronounced as ‘Chk Chk Chk’ or any noise repeated three times – are some the hardiest survivors of the early-Noughties New York scene. Despite never really coming close to the commercial success that some of their erstwhile peers (many of them who are now broken up) achieved, they’ve ploughed the same furrow for nearly two decades. Currently touring their eighth album Wallop, the Wardrobe plays host to their reliably on-point live show on Wednesday night. (TICKETS)

Penelope Isles @ Hyde Park Book Club, Thursday 28th November

Jack and Lily Wolter, the Brighton-based siblings behind impressive Bella Union newcomers Penelope Isles, bring the lush, summery dream-pop of their debut album Until The Tide Creeps In to the Hyde Park Book Club on Thursday. (TICKETS)

Sports Team @ The Wardrobe, Thursday 28th November

Having impressed as part of August’s This Must Be The Place festival in Leeds, and subsequently been playlisted by Radio 6 for their latest single ‘Fishing’, a track that revives some of the spirit of mid-Noughties British indie from around 12 years ago, Sports Team come to The Wardrobe this week. (TICKETS)

#360RAW11 @ The Library Lending Room, Friday 29th November

The eleventh edition of The 360 Club’s RAW showcases is on Friday evening in its regular location of The Library Pub’s Lending Room near the university. Once again, it puts up four promising local indie acts, this time Multinut Butter, Glassheads, Dactylion and headliners Mega Happy, all with DJ spots from organiser Alan Raw in between sets.
