Live At Leeds – Ones To Watch @ The Key Club, Saturday 26th October

This year’s excellent Live At Leedsmight be a distant memory now, but the organisers are already looking ahead to the 2020 edition next May with the first of two showcases. The Key Club underneath the Merrion Centre plays host to an afternoon and evening’s worth of new bands on Saturday, headlined by Beauty School and including the likes of Cassels, Gender Roles and Sick Joy. Rex Orange County @ O2 Academy Leeds, Monday 28th October

Having recently been snapped up by Sony, the multi-talented Alexander O’Connor launches his imminently-arriving third Rex Orange Countyalbum Pony with a gig at Leeds’ O2 Academy on Monday evening. Keep an eye out for ticket and bundle details via his social media in the coming days!

Household Dogs @ Wharf Chambers, Monday 28th October

Leeds sees another launch party on Monday night, as Wharf Chambers plays host to local post-punk quintet Household Dogs as they release their fifth single ‘Will My Dreams Be Electric Tonight?’. The support comes from fellow Leeds band Jellyskin – tickets are just a fiver, so this is a real bargain! (TICKETS)

Jarrow-based indie act Little Comets have quietly become one of the hardiest survivors on the often harsh and unforgiving underground circuit in Britain, their bookish and gentle disposition winning a cult following over the last decade. Warmduscher @ Brudenell Social Club, Thursday 31st October

For fans of the more unhinged end of post-punk, Warmduscher’s live shows are absolutely not to be missed!
