Another week, another example of the thriving music scene that has been Leeds over this last year. We’re nearly at the end of the year now, but there’s plenty of great live music to see, and we’ve picked the best three gigs!Ed
Live At Leeds 2018 – Ones To Watch #2 @ The Wardrobe, Saturday November 25th
The second of two showcases organised by local promoters Futuresound for acts playing at 2018’s Live At Leeds on May 5th next year, this day-long showcase at The Wardrobe will be a great afternoon and evening if it’s anything like as enjoyable as the last one back in September.
The names on the bill may not be established, but the high quality of the first showcase indicated that the spirit of discovering new acts isn’t restricted to one summer bank holiday weekend! Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi headlines the evening, having recently released his Bloom EP late last month.

Pumarosa @ Brudenell Social Club, Tuesday November 28th
Following the release of their impressive debut album The Witch in May this year, indie wizkids Pumarosa are finishing off an eventful and busy 2017 in style with a thorough tour of the UK. They call in at the Brudenell Social Club this week for what ought to be a spell-binding set encompassing fearsome rock, spellbinding shoegaze, cosmic jamming and danceable indie.

Kllo @ Headrow House, Wednesday November 29th
Following three years’ worth of promising EPs and singles, Australian duo Kllo dropped their debut album proper, Backwater, earlier this month and didn’t fail to live up to the hype that had built up around it. Armed with a respectable catalogue of soulful electro-pop and sighing post-dubstep that harks back to the glory days of UK garage, Chloe Kaul and Simon Lam arrive at Headrow House on Wednesday.
