Chris Evans Quits BBC Radio 2

The most popular and the second-highest-paid breakfast show presenter in the UK, Chris Evans, has decided to leave BBC Radio 2 after 13 years of his residency, with eight of those being in the breakfast show slot after taking over from Sir Terry Wogan in 2010. His final broadcast will take place in December this year before Evans joining Virgin Radio for the second time in his career (he left Virgin back in 2001 after being dismissed).

Evans commented on this change by saying: “I have absolutely loved every single moment of my time at Radio 2. The last thirteen years have flashed by in what seems like the blink of an eye. I have learnt so much from so many people to whom I will be eternally grateful.”

He also added: “In many ways Virgin Radio is my spiritual home. I see nothing but exciting and groundbreaking opportunities ahead.”

The UK leg of ‘No More Tours 2’ will see Osbourne coming to Nottingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham and London in February 2019. The remaining dates of his world tour will stretch over to 2020. Osbourne also added: “This will be my final world tour, but I can’t say I won’t do some shows here and there.”
