James Blake will support Radiohead for their upcoming 2017 European tour. Radiohead recently announced their support acts and James Blake will be amongst those selected to join the band. The band, who announced their ninth album, A Moon Shaped Pool in May, will be on a tour as of March, in North America. They will then move on to Europe where James Blake will join them in Italy in June for gigs in Florence and Milan.

Foo Fighters are expected to announce a headline slot for Glastonbury 2017. Fans have been receiving mysterious mail with a boarding pass showing the Foo Fighters logo in a pyramid. the “check in” time of the announcement is at 6 pm on Feb 21. The band have long been rumoured for the headline slot at Worthy Farm and are current favourites for it. The band pulled out of the headline position two years ago, when Dave Grohl broke his leg.

Rag ‘n’ Bone man tops the UK charts with the biggest selling debut album for a male artist in over a decade. His debut album, Human, sold 117,000 copies in its first week of release. He outsold the debut albums of Ed Sheeran (2011), Sam Smith (2014), and Rag ’n’ Bone’s breakthrough album has also outsold the combined total of the remaining 19 of the top 20.

The Wombats announce more shows to celebrate 10 years of their debut album. The band’s 2007 album, A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation has sold more than 335,00 copies with indie anthems like ’Let’s Dance To Joy Division’.  The band already announced that they will be playing London’s O2 Academy Brixton on June 30 but now they’ve added two more shows. One at the O2 Academy Glasgow on June 27 and another on June 29 at Liverpool University. Tickets go on sale for both of the shows on February 24.

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are to reunite and record together in the Studio. The former Beatles are collaborating for Ringo’s upcoming solo album where Paul will be featured playing bass on a number of tracks. The last time they recorded together was back in 2010 for another of Ringo’s solo albums.

The Shaggs will reunite to play their first gig in over 15 years. The Cult 60s proto-punk band last played together over 15 years ago and will perform at the Solid Sound Festival in June. The sister act’s outside music became one of Kurt Cobain’s favourite bands.

Clyde Stubblefield, James Browns ‘Funky Drummer dies aged 73. Stubblefield, who created one of the most widely sampled drum breaks ever died on February 19. The 1970s hit single ‘Funky Drummer’ has been sampled for over 1000 songs, including by Ed Sheeran and Public Enemy for ‘Fight The Power’.

Liam Gallagher has teased fans that his new music is coming soon by having a dig at his Brother Noel. The former oasis and Beady eye frontman will release an upcoming debut solo album later this year. He tweeted about his new project that “Noel’s fans are gonna have nowhere to run or hide”.
