Glastonbury bosses have revealed a line-up announcement is to be expected “some time in March”. The Eavis family spoke about the line-up at the NME Awards last night. So far Radiohead are the only confirmed headliners and The Avalanches have leaked that they will be performing.

The 2017 NME Awards took place last night (Wednesday 15) at the O2 academy in London. Biffy Clyro beat The Last Shadow Puppets, Wolf Alice, and the NME “band of the year” The 1975 to win the Best British band. Beyonce and Lady Gaga were also beaten to the post by Christine & The Queens for Best International Female Artist.

Other highlights from the 2017 NME Awards include, Sadikh Khan presenting Skepta with the winner of Best British Male Artist. The Mayor of London announced the winner by saying “This guy is cool, this guy is talented, this guy is a role model, this guy is a Londoner and it’s Skepta!”. Also, Pet Shop Boys took home the Godlike Genius award, as presented by previous winner, Johnny Marr and Nigel Farage won villain of the year.

Kasabian’s new album is reportedly ‘finished’. The bands sixth studio album is soon to released after guitarist serge Pizzorno announced on Instagram, “Album Done”. Serge Pizzorno said the album “contains one of the best tunes I’ve ever written”. A teasing snippet of the album, the track ‘Comeback Kid, was featured on Fifa 17 and then officially released on 22 September. The album is rumoured to be titled You’re In Love With A Psycho and it is also rumoured to be released on April 21.

Sleeper reunites for their first gigs in 19 years. The Britpop favourites will be performing at the upcoming Star Shaped Festival Tour on dates between the 29th of July and 19th of August. The band will be playing at the ‘Home of Briptop’ festival alongside The Bluetones, Space, Dodgy, My Life Story and Salad.

Lorde has announced the release date for her new album. After teasing for a few months her latest album will be released on the 7th March. Her record label, Republic Records’ website made the announcement for the ‘confidential titled’ album.

Thundercat will release his third studio album on February 24. Thundercat, aka Steven Bruner, rose to fame after he won a Grammy for his work as a bassist and producer on  Kendrick Lamar’s Pimp A Butterfly. The album, Drunk will feature Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar and Pharell.

Perfume Genius announced a summer tour ahead of his new album. The tour will be for dates between May and July 2017. The Glam Pop artist’s new album is also expected to be released later this year.
