Muse tease a new single and video on social media. The band teased fans with a short 9-second clip of what seems like a snippet of a new track and a music video, featuring the words; “Coming soon. The trio have been teasing of new music for some time since they announced they were working hard in a London studio in March. The cryptic announcement signifies the upcoming of the group’s new music since 2015’s album Drones.

MGMT have revealed the title of their upcoming album; Little Dark Age. A teaser trailer was revealed on May 7 with the caption reading; “Here’s a “making of” teaser video by @avidmacnutt to wet your whistles with audiovisual scraps from the germination of the forthcoming album LITTLE DARK AGE”. The Canadian outfit revealed last month that their follow-up to 2013’s self-titled album has been finished.

Frank Ocean has cancelled his set at Sasquatch 2017. The singer was due to appear at a string of festivals worldwide later this Summer, but instead, his comeback has been met with a cancellation. The cancellation has been cited as “due to production delays beyond his control. The organisers at Sasquatch, however, have found an equally impressive replacement in the form of LCD Soundsystem. Other festival appearances such as Primavera are now in doubt, but as of yet remain on.

Music festival websites go dark to support a campaign against sexual assault at festivals. On May 8 more than 25 music festival websites turned off for 24 hours to raise awareness to the issue. The blackout by the Safer Spaces campaign was supported by festivals including Bestival, End of the Road, Secret Garden Party and Parklife.

LCD Soundystem have released two new tracks on May 4th. The release comes from the band’s highly anticipating upcoming new album which is as yet untitled. The singles are called ‘Call The Police’, which is seven minutes long and ‘American Dream’ which is a full six minutes long. The band’s new album will be the first release since 2010’s This Is Happening.

Rancid announce new album, Trouble Maker. The pop punk veterans are set to release their ninth full album after a career spanning nearly 25 years so far. The follow-up to 2014’s Honor Is All We Know is expected to be released on June 9. The East Bay band accompanied the announcement with a video for the track ‘Ghost Of A Chance’ which is a single from the upcoming album.
